“LET’S Go Sharks” sounded throughout HP Pavilion on Saturday night as my husband and I watched our first live NHL hockey game!
Despite the Sharks efforts they lost a heartbreaker 2-3 to the Dallas Stars 🙁
While it was disappointing to see the sharks chalk up their first loss in eight games, what was not disappointing was the great time we enjoyed in downtown San Jose, CA.
We were in awe of the exceptionally clean downtown area. Everything was in walking distance, including the vietnamese restaurant – Vung Tau www.vungtaurestaurant.com that we dined at was wonderful and lived up to all the great reviews on Yelp.com
There was not a single establishment in which we patroned where the employees were not more than accommodating and especially nice to us.
HP Pavilion is a great place to see a hockey game and I can only imagine that this venue makes a great host for any large event.
The short drive from South Lake Tahoe was an easy trip, not too far but just far enough to feel like we were on a mini vacation! It is no wonder so many Bay Area residents prefer South Lake Tahoe as their second home / vacation home destination.
I look forward to making many more trips down to the bay where I can feel like I am a world away, yet be back home to Tahoe in less than four hours. 🙂
I especially want to attend another San Jose Sharks game or two before the end of the season, maybe even a playoff game? A Stanley Cup championship to follow up the San Francisco Giants World Series victory, now that would be a sweet deal for Bay Area sports fans!!!
Thanks San Jose for a refreshing change of scenery and consistent hospitality, we will be back soon. 🙂
As always, please feel free to contact Mackenzie with your individual/specific questions regarding your South Lake Tahoe home!
